CGST, SGST and IGST explained simply

For standard intra-state transactions, GST is split equally between the Centre and the State as CGST and SGST. For inter-state transactions, IGST is charged instead of CGST + SGST.

Our calculator assumes a 50–50 split between CGST and SGST (for example 18% GST is shown as 9% CGST + 9% SGST) and the full rate for IGST.
